Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell on Friday, September 24 organizes the MHT CET second shift exam for the PCM group. The test comprising of multiple-choice questions based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects is held successfully at allotted centers. The candidates who appear for MHT CET second shift exam now can check the analysis of the 2nd shift computer-based exam below.
According to the responses provided by candidates, today's 2nd shift exam was balanced, however, and questions from Physics and Mathematics were a bit tricky in comparison to the Morning shift. Questions from the Chemistry section were easy, said a candidate after the examination.
A total of 150 questions were asked from the candidates. As many as 50 questions were asked from Mathematics, 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry subjects. The candidates were given a duration of 180 minutes to attempt all questions.
According to the candidates, approximately 10 questions were asked from the Class 11th syllabus, whereas, majority of the questions were based on the Class 12th syllabus. In Mathematics, the maximum number of marks that can be allotted to a candidate is 100, whereas, in Physics and Chemistry, 50 marks. The level of the MHT CET is at par with the JEE Main paper 1.
Chemistry Questions: Questions in this section were asked from topics including- States of Matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements (Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles & techniques in Organic Chemistry, Alkanes, etc.
Physics Questions: A total of 50 questions were asked from topics including Units & Measurements, Scalars, and Vectors Quantity, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of Light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of Electric Current, Magnetism, Communication system, etc.
Mathematics Questions- As many as 100 questions were asked fin this section asked from topics including Matrices & Determinant, Pair of Straight Lines, Circle, Conics, Trigonometric Functions, Vectors, Integration, 3D Geometry, Plane, Linear Programming, Continuity, Applications of Derivative, Differentiation, Applications of Definite Integral, Differential Equation, Probability, etc.
