Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell conducting MAH MCA-CET 2020 online exam on October 28, would display Answer key. Maha CET Cell to release provisional MCA CET Answer key along with the response sheet at website. Candidates appear for the MAH MCA-CET 2020 computer based test in Shift 1/ 2/ 3 of 28th October 2020 logging at info.mahacet.org, can check availability of the the MCA CET keys/ solution sheets.

CET Cell on Wednesday (28th October, 2020) conducts MAH MCA CET 2020 online exam at allotted centres. The online exam was conducted following the social distancing norms and safety guidelines. The exam consisting of a total 100 multiple-choice based questions, successfully conducted in multiple shifts on 28/10/2020.

As per the reoprt, students were only allowed wearing face cover/ masks and carrying own hand sanitizers/ transparent water bottle. Entry at the exam centres was staggered to avoid the rush outside/ inside the exam centres. A proper sanitization was carried out across the exam centre, ahead of the every examination shift. Thermal scanning/ testing was set at across all the Entry points. 

Common Entrance Test's (CET's) was conducted under Technical Education department for admission into First year / direct second year (Separate division & lateral entry) of three-year full time post-graduate degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in participating Colleges/ Institutes in Maharashtra state, for acaedmic session 2020-21.

State CET cell would be analyzing the responses (answers) of individual candidates with those of other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. Following the same, Cell would display provisional and final Answer key for MCA CET 2020, at MAH MCA CET portal ahead of the announcement of MCA Entrance test results.

Report from Exam centre:

Candidates must carry original Hall ticket and original Valid Photo id and Name change document if applicable to the Centre. No candidate without these document will be allowed inside the Examination Centre.

The CET will be conducted following the Social Distancing Norms and directions regarding this and the precautions to be taken by the candidates are mentioned in the Hall Ticket.

MAH MCA CET 28 October Paper Analysis:

The Online Computer Based Exam was conducted consisting of a total 100 Multiple Choice based questions. The examination is carrying a total 200 marks. The exam duration was 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Candidates were asked to sit for about 140 minutes including the time required for completion of various formalities such as verification and collection of various requisite documents.

The Online Computer Based test was conducted in English language. It should be noted by the candidates that there is negative marking system for the MAH MCA CET 2020. Each correct answer carries 2 marks. Each wrong answer carries 0.5 negative mark. Unanswered questions will carry zero marks.

Questions were asked from Mathematics and Statistics, Logical Abstract Reasoning, English Comprehension and Verbal Ability and Computer Concepts.

Mathematics and Statistics: The question paper covered the following topics of high school mathematics (up to the 12th Standard)- Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry, Differential Equations, Trigonometry, Probability & Statistics and Arithmetic.

Logical/ Abstract Reasoning: This section covered logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage. This test was included to check the problem solving capability of the candidate.

English Comprehension and verbal ability: Questions in this section were designed to test the candidate's general understanding of the English language. There were questions on the topics such as Basic English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, synonyms antonyms, sentence correction, word & phrases, jumbled paragraph.
