Kerala Pareekshabhavan on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, conducts Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) for Category-1. As the KTET Category 1 (Lower Primary) examination is over, an analysis of the question paper is hereby being shared. The overall level of the KTET lower primary was moderate, however, some questions of Mathematics and Language were bit tricky.
According to the media reports, KTET Category 1 exam has been held successfully at designated centers across Kerala. The examination was started at 10:00 AM and lasted at 12:30 PM. It was conducted following the social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols.
It should be noted that the Category 1 examination is held for the applicants who intend to become teachers at Lower Primary (For Classes I to V) level. For categories 2, 3, and 4 the examination is scheduled for August 31, September 01, and 03, 2021. Once the examination is over, the Pareekshabhavan would display the official answer key.
With the answer key, candidates will be able to check and relate their responses with correct answers. In case of any discrepancy, they will have an option to raise challenges if any, at the given address. The same has to be done in a given stipulated time period.
KTET Category 1 Paper Analysis:
As far as the analysis is concerned, in KTET 2021 Category 1 examination the candidates were given OMR sheets to answer the 150 questions. The duration of the examination will be 2.5 hours (150 minutes). A total of 150 questions were given to answer to the candidates. As many as 30 questions have been asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, 30 questions from Malayalam/Kannada/Tamil, 30 questions from English/Arabic, 30 questions from Environmental Science, and 30 questions from Mathematics. The overall level of the KTET category 1 was moderate to difficult. The pattern of the examination was similar to the last year's.
