University of Mysore, a nodal agency to conduct Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for Assistant Professorship is about to display KSET Answer key 2020 for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Nodal Agency holding the OMR based KSET 2020 for 41 subjects on September 27, 2020 in two shifts to release KSET 2020 provisional answer key along with Objection intimation. Candidates appear for the Karnataka KSET 2020 examination Paper 1 (General) and Paper 2 (Subject specific) can check availability of solutions/  paper analysis from kset.uni-mysore.ac.in.

Mysore University on Sept 27, 2020 (Sunday) conducts KSET 2020 in 41 subjects at Eleven (11) nodal centers spread across the Karnataka state. The OMR based Karnataka SET held on September 27, 2020 followed by safety instructions and strict guidelines. Candidates were adhere to the instructions including wearing face masks, carrying personal hand sanitizer and transparent water bottles.

KSET 2020 Paper 1 began from 9:30 am and lasted at 1 0:30 am, whereas KSET paper 2 began at 11:00 am and lasted at 1:00 pm, on September 27. KSET Examination hall opened 30 minutes prior to the examination and remained open after 20 minutes of beginning of exam. Karnataka KSET held at Eleven Centers where test conducted in Karnataka State at exam centres in Bangaluru, Belagavi, Bellary, Vijayapura, Davangere, Dharwad, Kalaburgi, Mangalore, Mysuru, Shimoga and Tumkur.

Provisional Answer Keys of all the papers will be displayed on the website kset.unimysore.ac.in during likely within 3 days of exam. The candidates who are not satisfied with Provisional Key Answers, may challenge by submitting application form paying a sum of Rs.1000/- per question(payable in favor of The Co-Ordinator, KSET Center, UOM, Mysore), which is refundable in any case challenge is successful.

KSET Paper 1 (General Studies) held in first shift with a duration of 1 Hour (09.30 A.M to 10.30 A.M). KSET Paper 1 consisted of 50 objective type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks held in Shift 1 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The questions asked were of general nature, intended to assess the teaching /research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Karnataka Paper 2 held in second shift with a duration of 2 Hours from 11.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M, successfully. KSET Paper 2 consisted of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which were based on the subject selected by the candidate, held in shift 2. The candidate had to mark the responses for questions of Paper-I and Paper 2 on the Optical Marks Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet. There is no negative marking.

Note- Minimum Marks percentage to be obtained in Paper 1 and Paper 2 for General shall be 40% Aggregate marks in all the two papers taken together, wheras, for SC / ST/ CAT-I / II A/ II B / III A / III B / PWD- 35 per cent aggregate marks in all the two papers taken together. The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professors shall be equal to 6 per cent of the candidates appeared in both the papers of KSET-2020, as per guidelines laid at kset.uni-mysore.ac.in.
