National Testing Agency (NTA) is organizing the JEE Main Online Computer based examination on Sept 1, 2020 would release Answer Key with question paper analysis. NTA JEE Main April/ Sept 2020 examination asked questions in Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Drawing in Shift 1 & 2 along with solutions would be obtained from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. A total 400 marks (Maths-100) computer based JEE Main (B.Arch/ B.Planning) examination held at 660 examination centres. Students participated in JEE Main 1st September 2020 Paper 2 (B.Arch/ B.Planning) can view the answer key, question paper analysis for both shifts.
To assist the JEE Main students, various coaching institutes including Resonance, Bansal Classes, FIITJEE, Vibrant Classes, Aakash, Vidyamandir etc would also enable the JEE Main Answer key hours after successful conduct of the examination. Students letting the provisional key, may check the said Institutes released JEE Main 1st-6th Sept answer keys. To match the expected score/ cut off & rank, candidates will also be provided an overview of the paper, after the JEE Main April/ Sept examination.
Candidates answer the JEE Main Sept 1 (Paper 2) exam will be able to download the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics question paper, solutions for shift 1 & 2 using their Login Id and Date of Birth, after the JEE Main Preliminary answer key 2020 activation. JEE Main Exam Centres’ Report-
Following the safety protocols and SOPs, JEE Main 1st September exam held in multiple shifts- Morning, Afternoon & Evening. JEE (Main) Sept 1 exam held in Computer Based Test (CBT) at 660 examination centres across the country. Entry begins at 7am for the shift 1 across all the exam centres. Social Distancing is being followed and rush is being avoided outside the centres. Entry for 1st September shift 1 remained Open till 9am for the shift 1.

To ensure the social distancing outside the examination hall, the entry and exit of candidates was staggered. Adequate arrangements were made outside the examination centers to enable candidates stand with adequate social distancing, while waiting, report says. JEE Main Sept 1 Shift 1/2 Analysis:
A total Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & questions for which answer is a numerical value, with equal weightage to Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry. JEE Main Sept 2020 paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Plan) conducted for total 400 marks.
JEE Main Paper 1 Exam consisted of 25 questions from Mathematics- carrying a total 100 marks. Similarly in Part 2, a total 20+5 questions were asked from Physics section carrying 100 marks total and from Chemistry (Organic/ Inorganic/ Physical) 20+5 questions carrying 100 marks total, asked in examination. The JEE Main Computer Based examination was organized primarily in Hindi and English language (Gujarati also an option).
JEE Main Paper 2: B.Arch Paper Analysis
Part 1 Maths: The part 1 (Maths) carried a total 25 questions carrying four marks each. The first section of B.Arch Maths paper had 20 multiple MCQ questions and the second section had five numerical-based questions. The part 1 carried a total 100 marks.
Part 2 Aptitude Section: The part 2 of B.Arch Paper was of Aptitude Section had a total 50 multiple choice questions. The marking system for the JEE Main Aptitude section is similar to the Mathematics section, four marks for every correct answer and a negative mark of one for wrong answers marked. As per students’ reaction on the level of questions asked, Aptitude had easy questions.
Part 3- The Drawing Section: Drawing section part had two questions each of 50 marks. The total marks assigned for the section 3 was 100. One question involved drawing an aesthetic composition using rectangles and the other one was one of a “highway scene” or “portrait of your favourite teacher”. As per students’ reaction on the level of questions asked, the Drawing section was a bit easy.
JEE Main Marking Scheme:
For every right answer there is allocation of 4 marks. In JEE Main September exam 2020 there is negative marking for every wrong answer. For every wrong answer 1 mark to be deducted from overall score. For un-answered and blank left answers there is no deduction of marks.
