The Indian Institute of Management, Indore conducting the IIM-CAT 2020 exam on November 29 (Sunday), would display official Answer key. Nodal Institute shall issue CAT answer key of 29th November held (VARC,DILR, & QA) paper response sheet, at official site. Candidates appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) held in Computer Based mode can check the availability of Answer key and solutions at site iimcat.ac.in.
IIM Indore will display the recorded responses and CAT 2020 question paper attempted by the candidates on the official website ahead of the declaration of result. The recorded responses are likely to be displayed for two to three days. According to the information bulletin, the IIM CAT will display provisional Answer-Key of the three sections contained MCQs and Non-MCQs on the official website iimcat.ac.in to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the provisional Answer Key. The Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days.
The exam was scheduled in three slots of Morning, afternoon and evening on Sunday, November 29. CAT 2020 exam duration was reduced to 120 minutes (2 hours) and sectional time limit was reduced to 40 minutes per section. The Computer Based Examination is held following the social-distancing and other safety instructions. Aspirants were allowed only wearing face masks/ cover inside the examination hall. A detailed analysis of question papers is being facilitated to help students visualize their score.
CAT exam 2020 is conducted successfully on November 29, in three shifts (sessions) instead of earlier two slots due to Covid-19 pandemic. There was a reduction in number of questions in the Computer Based Exam. The pattern of the question paper was same as per previous years, say students.
CAT 2020 Morning shift exam held from 8.30 AM to 10.30 AM, followed by Afternoon shift from 12.30 PM to 2.30 pm, and Evening shift from 4.30 PM to 6.30 PM. IIM CAT 2020 had three sections on- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC); Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA).
Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)- MCQs (With negative marking)- 16-18, Non-MCQs (Without negative marking- 6-8. The paper level is termed as Difficult in the first session.

Data Interpretation & LR (DILR)- MCQs (With negative marking)-14-16, Non-MCQs (Without negative marking)- 5-7 Questions. The paper level of the DILR section is named as Moderate level.
Quantitative Ability (QA)- MCQs (With negative marking- 15-18, Non-MCQs (Without negative marking)-6-9. The difficulty level was average.
Note-Candidates will be allotted only 40 minutes for answering questions in each section. They will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section. Last year the time limit was 60 minutes for each section, which is reduced in the structural change due to Covid-19.
