Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations on Friday, December 10 conducts ICSE or Class 10th Second Language and Foreign Language papers. The exams are reportedly held successfully at all the exam centres. Those who appear for 2nd Language (Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, etc) or Modern Foreign Language (French, German, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Thai, etc) now can check the paper analysis and unofficial answer key to be released by the educators.
CISCE ICSE exam is reportedly held successfully from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Based on the students' feedback after the examination, it is reported that the Foreign Language papers for most of the subjects were of moderate level. However, the second language exam for some of the papers was difficult.
"The French language paper was similar and designed on the same pattern as Specimen papers. Most of the questions were from the described syllabus and solvable," said a student after the examination.
According to the media reports, approximately, 2 lakhs students have registered to appear in the ICSE class 10 semester 1 exam this year. Owning to the ongoing conditions, the council has decided to conduct the ICSE exams on OMR-sheet.
Students who take the ICSE 10 December exam now can check the unofficial answer key, question paper, difficulty level of the paper along the opinion of exam experts.
ICSE Second Language Paper Analysis:
According to the ICSE date sheet 2021, CISCE conducts, OMR-based exam for Second Language papers (AO-Naga, Assamese, Bengali, Dzongkha, Garo, Gujarati, Khasi, Kannada, Lepcha, Mizo, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Tangkhul, Telugu, Urdu, etc.
The council also holds papers for Modern Foreign Languages- Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Modern Armenian, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and Tibetan.
Based on the students' opinions, the question paper was divided into two sections - Section A & Section B. The exam contained 20x2 multiple-choice questions with a maximum of 40 marks. Students were given a time duration of 90 minutes to attempt the second language paper. The marks of each question are represented in front of the question. There is no negative marking in the ICSE exams 2021.
