Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on Saturday, August 14, organized the RRB Clerk Prelims online exam at designated centers across the country. IBPS Clerk August 14, 2021 shift 1 and 2 exams are now over. The analysis of shift 1 and shift 2 of the computer-based test is hereby shared. The official answer key shall be issued on the official site only after the examination is over.
Based on the media reports, the IBPS RRB Clerk examination is reportedly held successfully at all centers. The examination is organized following social distancing and safety protocols. The candidates were allowed entry only wearing a face mask/cover inside the exam center. IRIS scan and metal detector were also placed at the entry points.
IBPS RRB Clerk 14 August Paper Analysis: All Shifts
While interacting with the students who take the examination, it is reported that the overall difficulty level of the 14th August 2021 Clerk prelims exam is 'moderate to difficult'.
As many as 80 questions are asked from General Reasoning and Numerical Ability. The maximum marks in the examination are 80. The duration of the Prelims examination is 45 minutes.

General Reasoning- 40 Questions- Moderate to Difficult
Questions were based on Puzzles - Seating Arrangement, Number Series, Odd one out, Coding-decoding, Blood Relation, Analogy, Syllogism, Ranking, Direction test, Statement, and Assumption, Assertion, and Reason, and Statement and Conclusion.
Numerical Ability- 40 Questions- Moderate Level
In this section multiple choice type questions were based on topics including- Number System, Data Interpretation, HCF & LCM, Profit & Loss, SI & CI, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Average, Simplification, Partnership, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, and Average.
For shift 2 analysis, candidates are asked to stay in touch with us as we are going to share the experts' opinions in due course of time.
There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the objective-type tests. There are five alternatives in every question of a test. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score.

The candidates shall be required to qualify in each test as per cut-off marks determined in each test. Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score on each of the tests as well as on the total to be considered for shortlisting for the next round.
