GATE 2021 Answer Key: 6 February Shift 1 & 2 Paper Analysis & Difficulty level

IIT Bombay on Saturday conducts GATE 2021 examination in two shifts. After the examination is over IIT Bombay to release official answer key. Ahead of the publication of solutions, an Analysis of GATE 2021 6th February held exam is hereby shared.

IIT Bombay on Saturday, February 6 conducts GATE 2021 exam in two shifts. The first shift exam of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2021) of February 6 is reportedly held successfully at the designated centers. The GATE 2021 February 6 Morning session exam is held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm for Civil Engineering (CE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Chemistry (CY).

The candidates who appear for the GATE 2021 February 6, Shift 1 or 2 have a look at the paper analysis that is being shared ahead of the publication of the official Answer key at www.appsgate.iitb.ac.in.

According to the reports, the GATE 2021 6th February first shift exam has been concluded at 12.30 pm at all designated centres across the country. The shift 2 exam has also begun from 3.00 pm and to last at 6.00 pm. GATE 2021 exam has been scheduled on February 6, 7, 13, and 14, 2021 for various subject papers.

GATE 2021 6 February 1st Shift Paper Analysis:

GATE 2021 first shift exam has concluded for three subject-papers including Civil Engineering-1 (CE-1), Instrumentation Engineering (IN), and Chemistry (CY). Based on the reports, the Civil Engineering Paper 1 exam was reportedly moderate to difficult level.

According to the reports student who interacted after taking the examination said that in the GATE CE-1 paper fewer MCQs (7-8 questions) and the number of NAT questions was comparatively more. Questions were asked from topics like SOM, Sheer strength, Steel, Speed Density relation, etc. "The focus was on Transportation questions. Other questions that asked were from Environmental Engineering, Geo Technology, etc", a candidate said after the examination.

As per the students, the overall level of the GATE 2021 (IN) paper was average. However, a few questions that were asked were a bit tricky. Some of the most asked topics in the exam were Rectifier, Control System, and Diode, etc.

The previous year's GATE CE cutoff was 32.9 for General candidates; 29.6 for OBC and 21.0 for SC/ST/PH candidates. GATE (IN) cutoff (qualifying) for the previous year was 34.6 for General candidates; 31.1 for OBC and 23.0 for SC/ST/PH candidates.

GATE 2021 February 6, Shift 2 Analysis:

GATE 2021 February Shift 2 is reportedly being held for 5 subject papers- Civil Engineering-2, Physics, Architecture, and Planning, Biomedical Engineering, Mining Engineering. The analysis of the 2nd shift papers will be provided only after the examination is over.
