The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday, September 16, conducted the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2021 for the PG courses. CUCET 2021, a computer-based test for the morning shift is now over and held successfully in cities across the country. The candidates who attempt September 16 held CUCET 1st shift exam can check the paper analysis along with difficulty level, asked questions, and unofficial answer key, once the examination is over.
According to the media reports, the CUCET began today at 9:00 AM with the PGQP courses. The examination has been held following the social distancing and COVID-19 protocols. As per the instructions, candidates were asked to carry their admit card along with self-declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website, into the examination venue.
CUCET 2021 is scheduled to be held on September 16, 23, and 24, 2021 for Post Graduate (PG) and Undergraduate/ Integrated (UI) programs respectively. The common entrance test is being held online in the computer-based mode for 2 hours duration. As many as 100 objective-type questions are being asked from the candidates.
The answer key of CUCET 2021, however, will be released by the National Testing Agency on the official website cucet.nta.nic.in. The agency will display the provisional answer key of the questions on the NTA website cucet.nta.nic.in, with a public notice issued to this effect on the said website, to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the provisional answer keys with an online payment of Rs 200 per non-refundable question challenged as processing charges, reads an official notification.
The date of display of recorded responses and answer key is yet to be decided by the agency. However, based on the past year's trends, it is expected that the answer key will be released within 5 days of the examination.
CUCET PGQP September 16 Shift 1 Analysis:
The computer-based test for PGQP course (paper codes- 01, 02, 05, 07, 09, 10, 11, 16, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 38, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49) is held successfully from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. The test consisted of two parts- Part A and Part B. A total of 25 questions from English, General Knowledge, and Numerical Ability were asked in Part A. Whereas, Part-B consisted of 75 questions from respective subjects. However, the pattern was different for some of the course codes. The entire test was in the English language.
According to the proposed marking scheme, each question carries four marks for correct response. As there is negative marking, 1 mark would be deducted for every wrong answer for each incorrect response.
CUCET Shift-2 Analysis:
The computer-based test is scheduled from 03:00 pm to 05:00 pm (IST) for PGQP course (paper codes 03, 14, 17, 20, 24, 27, 32, 33, 35, 04, 13, 15, 19, 30, 31, 37, 50, 51, 54, 57) is scheduled. The analysis of the shift 2 test will be available only after the examination is over.
The candidates who successfully qualify through the CUCET 2021 by obtaining more than cut-off marks will get admissions in various PG courses offered by participating central universities.
