Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has conducted the ISC (Class XII) Chemistry paper for semester 1 exams 2021. An OMR-sheet-based theory paper is reportedly held successfully for the registered students at all the examination centres. The paper carrying a maximum 70 marks is over with easy to moderate in difficulty. Students who appear in today's Chemistry Paper 1 (862) exam now can check the paper insight, its analysis, and unofficial answer key, released by the exam experts.

Based on the students' feedback, the overall level of ISC Chemistry questions was balanced. Questions based on Organic Chemistry are reported comparatively easy than of Physical Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. 

According to the reports, the ISC Chemistry paper is held successfully from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Candidates were given additional 15 minutes to read the paper. The question paper along with the OMR sheet was disbursed among the students at 1:50 pm, 10 minutes before the start of the examination. The candidates were strictly instructed to follow the COVID-19 protocols.

ISC Chemistry Paper Analysis:

Based on the students' feedback, the paper was easy to moderate. As given in the ISC Chemistry (Theory) Semester 1 Specimen question paper, the pattern was similar. It was specified in front of the question/ sub-part that it carries 1 mark. The maximum marks for the Mass Communication paper are 70 marks.

As prescribed in the bifurcated syllabus for ISC Chemistry, questions in the paper were asked from the 7 units- Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers. Students had to attempt all questions in a time period of 90 minutes.
