UPSC CMSE Personality Test to begin from 18th Jan, Call Letters to be issued soon

The Union Public Service Commission has notified 1st Slot for Personality Test / Personal Interview due to commence from the 18th of January 2021 onward. The UPSC will issue the Candidates E-Interview Letters following acknowledgment of the Detailed Application Forms from the Candidates Shortlisted for Personality Test.

UPSC CMSE Personality Test 2021:  The Union Public Service Commission has announced the Interview Schedule for the Candidates shortlisted in the Computer Based Test for 500 Marks.  The Union Public Service Commission has issued Partial Personality Test Slot with the remaining Schedule to follow in due course of time. The Candidates declared Successful in the Computer-Based Examination  would have to submit the Detailed Application Form accompanied by the Documents prior to commencement of the Personality Test.      

Selection Procedure to various Posts under the Combined Medical Services Examination (CMSE) consists of 02 Stages; viz., Part-I: Computer-Based Examination: 500 Marks and Part-II Personality Test: 100 Marks.

CMSE Call Letters: The Union Public Service Commission shall commence hosting Personality Test from the 18th Date of January 2021 onwards to the 22nd of February 2021. 1191 Candidates would appear in the Personality Test / Personal Interview beginning from the 18th of January 2021 up to the 22nd of February 2021.        

Personality Test (PT) has been allocated Maximum 100 Marks. Personality Test for 01-295 Candidates Shortlisted in the shall Immediately after Declaration of the Computer-Based Results, Successful Candidates shall be intimated by the Union Public Service Commission Electronically and they shall be asked to submit Detailed Application Form (DAF) Online. Original Documents shall have to be produced by the Candidates at the time of interview.

The Union Public Service Commission would issue the Candidates Interview Letters. The candidates may also be issued Electronically. Interview Letters; if any of their claims were found to be Incorrect, they may render themselves liable to Disciplinary Action by the Commission in terms of Rule 11 of the Rules for the Combined Medical Services Examination 2020, reproduced below:

Personality Test Slot-wise Schedule: 1st Slot (18.01.2021 - 21.01.2021) for 250 Candidates; 2nd Slot (01.02.2021 - 05.02.2021) for 340 Candidates); 03) 3rd Slot (08.02.2021 - 12.02.2021) for 295 Candidates); 04) 4th Slot (15.02.2021 - 19.02.2021) for 295 Candidates) and 05) (22nd February 2021) for 11 Candidates).

Selection Criteria: The Candidates who are declared having been qualified in the Computer-Based Examination for 500 Marks, would be called for appearing in the Personality Test (PT) / Personal Interview to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.  Personal Interview / Personality Test for Selection to the Post carry Total 100 Marks.

The Objective for Personality Test / Personal Interview will be intended to serve as a supplement to the Computer-Based Examination for testing the General Knowledge and Ability of the Candidates in the fields of their respective Academic Study and also in the nature of a Personality Test to assess the Candidate’s Intellectual Curiosity, Critical Powers of Assimilation, Balance of Judgment and Alertness of Mind, Ability for Social Cohesion, Integrity of Character, Initiative and Capability for Leadership.
