TNAU UG Admission 2021: Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is commencing the online application process for UG Admissions 2021-22 from tomorrow, September 08 at tnauonline.in. Aspirants seeking admissions into TNAU UG degree programs have to fill their application form online from September 08, 2021, onwards. The last date for the application form is as given in the information brochure. The agricultural university offers admissions into 11 undergraduate degree courses through 14 constituent colleges and 28 affiliated colleges.
According to the Government of Tamil Nadu, one Horticultural College at Jeenur in Krishnagiri District and three Agricultural Colleges at Karur in Karur District, Keezhvelur in Nagapattinam District, and Chettinad in Sivagangai District are also going to be commenced as Constituent colleges from the academic year 2021-22.
The eligible candidates have to fill their application form online at tnouonline.in. Filling the online application form of TNAU is mandatory for applying for TNAU counseling for both constituent and affiliated colleges as well as applying for management quota in Affiliated colleges.
To be eligible for admission to UG courses, candidates should have passed all the subjects in the academic stream of 10+2 years of schooling under the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu/ CBSE/ CISCE, or other state boards. Further, candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years as on July 01, 2021.
Admissions will take place for the following UG courses-
1. B.Sc.(Hons.) Agriculture
2. B.Sc.(Hons.) Horticulture
3. B.Sc.(Hons.) Forestry
4. B.Sc.(Hons.) Food, Nutrition, and Dietetics
5. B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)
6. B.Sc.(Hons.) Sericulture
7. B.Tech. (Food Technology)
8. B.Tech. (Biotechnology)
9. B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering)
10.B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri-Business Management.
The selection will be done through TNAU online counseling. Online counseling will also be conducted for special reservations. After the release of the rank list, candidates shortlisted will be informed through SMS and e-mail. The ratio of ‘number of vacant seats’: ‘number of candidates shortlisted for counseling’ will be normally 1:5.
