Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Office on Thursday announced that Schools & Colleges in Andhra Pradesh will be opened from 2nd November. News Agency ANI quoting the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Office brought-up the into highlights that Schools and Colleges are re-opoening from November 2.
According to the proposed draft, A.P state Government is resuming the academic activities in Schools for Classes 9, 10, 11 & 12 from 2nd November 2020, whereas for Classes 6, 7 & 8 from 23rd November. Students are called into Schools on alternate days and for half-day only. "Classes will be held for half-day only & on alternate days only", says Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister's Office.
The announcements comes following the Unlock-5 guidelines where, Centre has asked state Governments to take decision on their own behalf on re-opening of schools and colleges. Several states and Union Territories have allowed re-opening of schools and other academic institutions under the guidelines.
Uttar Pradesh has allowed academic activities in schools across the state from October 19, followed by Punjab and Tamil Nadu. However, Delhi Govt in its recent order has called on to schools to remain shut till the next order.
Schools & Colleges will be opened in the state from 2nd November. Classes for 9, 10, 11 & 12 will commence from 2nd Nov. Classes for 6, 7 & 8 will start from 23rd November. Schools and other Institutions are closed in the Andhra Pradesh state since March 2020, when State Govt following the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs called for the lockdown.
