IGNOU launches Mobile Application Development course (CMAD), Know Eligibility, Fee & Duration

IGNOU has launched Certificate Programme in Mobile Application Development (CMAD) through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. National Open University on Wednesday, launched the Certificate course for Mobile App Development and released the information brochure inclusive of Eligibility, Fee, Admission criteria & detailed course structure.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a Certificate course in Mobile Application Development (CMAD) to help students to meet their dream in Mobile App Development. Univarsity releases the detailed information brochure for the CMAD or Certificate course in Mobile Application Development at ignou.ac.in. Desirous candidates who wish to take admissions into Mobile Application Development Course (CMAD) in Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode, can apply for CMAD Certificate course online at ignou.ac.in on or before 30th Sept 2020.

IGNOU on Sept 16, 2020 launched the Certificate course in Mobile Application Development (CMAD) with an aim to provide students a leveraging scope in Mobile Application Development in this Digital era. After pursuing the programme successfully, the student should be able to understand the requirements for the development of mobile applications for various purposes. Students will be able to analyze the architecture of Android,design, implement and test a database for user requirements, develop mobile apps using Android. To help students develop programs using Python and use IDEs such as Android Studio, IGNOU launches CMAD certificate course. The Information brochure (IB) carrying online application dates, eligibility, course duration, course fee, program structure and syllabus etc, has been released at ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU Mobile Application Development Certificate (CMAD) Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate having 10+2 Passing certificate or 10th standard with 2 or 3 years Diploma / Equivalent, is eligible to apply for the CMAD course.

IGNOU CMAD Course Duration:

Any person who is interested in developing Mobile application can register / apply Online for Mobile Application Development Certificate course. Duration of the CMAD is Six months (1 Semester).

Programme Structure:

The University follows the credit system for all its programmes. Each credit amounts to 30 hours of study comprising all learning objectives. Thus, a four credit course includes 120 study hours and and an eight credit course includes 240 study hours. To successfully complete the Diploma programme , the student will have to earn 16 Credits over a period of 1 semester (minimum duration) and the maximum duration permissible by passing all the prescribed courses.

Note- Attendance to Theory Counseling sessions is not compulsory. However, it is essential to have a minimum of 70% attendance to practical counseling sessions in each of the course components of BCSL-091.

IGNOU Mobile Application Development Course (CMAD) Syllabus-

Course Title (BCS-091): Introduction to Mobile Architecture

Course Title (BCS-092) : Introduction to Databases

Course Title (BCS-093): Introduction to Android

Course Title (BCS-094) : Programming using Python

Course Title (BCSL-091) : Laboratory Course.

Programme Fee:

Rs 5000/- for CMAD + Rs 200/- as programme fee make a sum total of Rs 5200/- as total Certificate course fee.

No printed course material will be given. However, Course Material can be downloaded from http:/egyankosh.ac.in . During practical counseling sessions, 1 Computer will be assigned to 2 students. Support mechanism will include Theory Counseling, Practical Counseling, Interactive Radio Counseling and Teleconferencing apart from the above. Counseling sessions shall be held at designated Learner Support Centers (LSCs) preferably.

Every course will have two components Assignment and Term End Examination respectively. "If the course is having only Theory Counseling Sessions, then there will be two components, namely, Assignment and Term End Examination (Theory). If the Course is having only Practical Counseling Sessions, then there will be two components, namely, Assignment, Term End Examination (Practical)", brochure reads.
