Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for Admissions till July 16, 2020. The decision is taken in view of board examination result which is pending of several state boards. The last date for IGNOU Admissions and Re-Registration which was being read as July 31, is now extended till August 16, 2020, IGNOU official notice reads.
Students looking for admissions into IGNOU programmes now can register online at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in till August 16, 2020. Admissions into 2nd / 3rd year will also remain open till August 16. Students taking admissions into 2nd / 3rd Year will have to register under IGNOU Re-Registration. Whereas for fresh admissions (Admission to first year) candidates will require to opt for Fresh Admissions.
The last date of admission and Re-Registration for July 2020 session is extended upto 16th August 2020. IGNOU releasing official notice at ignou.ac.in notifies on extension of last date for UG, PG, Certificate, Diploma & PG Diploma programmes. The last date for admission into Online courses is also extended till 16/08/2020. After this now students can register for Admissions into I, II & III year till August 16, 2020.

Note- In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications are liable to be rejected.

Here are the detailed Instruction to fill application form online-
Step 1) If you are a first-time applicant you are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.
Step 2): You are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section 06) as mentioned in the common prospectus.
