DU B.Ed Application Form 2021 Opens at pgadmission.uod.ac.in; Eligibility, Entrance Test, Prospectus & More

Candidates have to register online at the admission portal pgadmission.uod.ac.in. DU B.Ed admission details including eligibility, entrance test, syllabus, and other information are given at the website of the Department of Education - doe.du.ac.in.

Department of Education, University of Delhi (DOE DU) has released B.Ed admission 2021 notification on the website doe.du.ac.in. Aspirants seeking admission into 2 years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course in University of Delhi can fill in the application form at the PG Admission portal 

According to an official notice, this year the entire procedure of B.Ed Admission is online. Academic Session for the B.Ed. is likely to commence in October 2021

However, the detailed schedule of DU B.Ed Entrance Test 2021 will soon be uploaded on the website of the University of Delhi, along with the Department of Education doe.du.ac.in. The aspirants are asked to keep a check at the websites regularly.

To be eligible for the Delhi University BEd application form, candidates should have passed with at least 50% marks a Bachelor’s Degree and or in the Master’s Degree in Science/ Social Science/ Humanities or Commerce or equivalent qualification. Whereas, candidates having B.E or B.Tech with specialization in Science and Mathematics should have passed degree with at least 55% marks.

DU B.Ed Admission 2021 Application Form

A non-refundable application fee of Rs 750 is chargeable for candidates belonging to UR, OBC, and EWS categories. Whereas, a fee of Rs 300 is for candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD categories. Here is the step-by-step process to fill in the DU B.Ed application form for session 2021-23.

Step 1: Visit the website of the University of Delhi du.ac.in.

Step 2: Go to Post graduate admission Portal- pgadmission.uod.ac.in

Step 3: Register yourself, Go through the B.Ed. Prospectus available at http://doe.du.ac.in

Step 4: Check your Eligibility according to the criteria given in the prospectus

Step 5: Fill the B.Ed. Admission Form available on DU PG Admissions Portal

Step 6: Select the Subject Category and one teaching subject. And also select the Centre of examination 

Step 7: Make the application fee payment, take a print-out of the form.

DU B.Ed Admission Process:

All admissions to the B.Ed programme will be made through the entrance test consisting of a total of 400 marks. The B.ED entrance test will be held in online mode. The candidates have to attempt all MCQs in a time duration of 2 hours. The question paper shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 4 marks each. There is a negative marking of ONE mark

According to the examination scheme, the test will include Multiple-Choice Questions to test subject knowledge at the school level, reasoning and general awareness, and language proficiency. A merit list will be prepared on the basis of scores obtained in the entrance test.

DU B.Ed Colleges:

The Bachelor of Education at DU is a full-time 2-year programme. The programme is offered by the Faculty of Education, Delhi University at its four colleges:

1. Department of Education (Central Institute of Education- CIE)

2. Lady Irwin College

3. Maharshi Valmiki College of Education (MVCE) And

4. Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for women (SPMC)

Display of Admission List And Allocation of Colleges:

On the basis of the performance in the entrance test, a merit list of all candidates, who take the test, will be displayed on the website of the University of Delhi. Depending on the rank in the merit list of their respective category of the candidate, subject category, availability of seats, and preference of the institutions, candidates will be allocated to different institutions. The display of names in the merit list does not indicate the final selection for admission. The overall merit list will comprise candidates of all categories including UR, OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and PwD. The B.Ed. programme is in annual mode and the medium of instruction would be in Hindi and English.
