Delhi Government has decided to re-open schools in Delhi from September 01, 2021, in a phased manner. According to the official reports, aside from this, coaching centres, and colleges will also re-open from September 01. However, COVID-19 guidelines will have to be followed by educational institutions. From 1st September, classes for 9 to 12 in all schools, all coaching institutes as well as in all Delhi-based colleges will resume.
In addition to this announcement, it has also been made clear that no one will be forced to attend the classes and students will need parents' permission to attend the schools, says Deputy CM Manish Sisodia on Friday.
"It has been decided to reopen schools, colleges, coaching centres in Delhi, in a phased manner. From 1st Sept, classes for 9-12 in all schools, all coaching classes as well as all colleges will be permitted to resume," tweeted Deputy Chief Minister who is also Education Minister, Govt. of Delhi, Manish Sisodia.

Earlier, during a meeting with the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) the recommendations of an expert committee got clearance regarding the reopening of schools, colleges, and other institutes.
