All the vaccinated users can download their Covid-19 Vaccine Certificates and Universal Pass from the official portal cowin.gov.in. Further, the users can also download their certificates from the Aarogya Setu app, COWIN app, and Umang applications using their android and iPhone mobiles. Even the users have been provided an option to make corrections in the certificate, by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Indian citizens have been asked to carry their vaccine certificate issued after 1st and 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The certificate is verifiable proof of the vaccination that is being used for different services including international travel. Vaccination not only protects individuals from the COVID-19 virus but also reduces their risk of spreading. Therefore, the Covid vaccine certificate is going to be a requirement in the future for certain kinds of social interactions and international travel.

Download COVID Vaccine Certificate By Name & Mobile Number: Step-by-step process

Step 1:  Visit the official website - cowin.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on Download Certificate from the drop-down of Vaccination Services on the homepage. 

Step 3: Then enter your mobile number the same used for registration at cowin.gov.in.

Step 4: Click on the 'Get OTP' link. An SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the six-digit OTP and submit. By doing so all registered members will appear in a new window.

Step 6: Scroll down the page and click on 'Show Certificate' and then on 'Download' just below the vaccinated user details.

Step 7: Take a hard copy of the vaccine certificate or save it to the DigiLocker. 

How to Download Universal Pass or International Travel Pass?

In order to download 'International Travel Pass' or universal pass, users have to follow the aforementioned 5 steps and then click on 'International Travel Pass' aside from 'Certificate'. To access the universal pass they have to enter the name, date of birth, and passport number in the required fields. This form will link the Vaccination Certificate with the passport number for international travel.

It should be noted that only fully vaccinated citizens can update their existing photo identity to passport number and date of birth to get the International Certificate.

How to Make Corrections in Vaccine Certificate?

Question: Where can I download the COVID Vaccine certificate?

Answer: You can download a vaccination certificate from the CoWIN portal- cowin.gov.in or the Aarogya Setu app or through Digi-Locker by following the simple steps. You may do so by using the mobile number used at the time of registration.

Question: COVID Vaccination Certificate from DigiLocker?

Registered users can find the vaccination certificates in DigiLocker under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Health category. They have to click on the Covid Vaccine certificate and enter their Beneficiary Reference ID to access the certificate.

Question: What if Beneficiary Reference Id is Lost?

The beneficiary reference id of 13 or 14 digits is generated at the time of Corona Vaccine registration. This is sent to the registered mobile number in the SMS section. Moreover, in case the SMS is deleted or Id is not found, the registered users can even download their certificates without the reference Id. To do so, they have to log in at cowin.gov.in. Thereafter they have to follow the step-by-step process given above to download the name wise and mobile number wise process.
